چکیده
The EDELWEISS collaboration aims for direct detection of light dark matter using germanium cryogenic detectors with low threshold phonon sensor technologies and efficient charge readout designs. We describe here the development Ge bolometers equipped high impedance thermistors based on a NbxSi1−x TES alloy. High aspect ratio spiral designs allow to match JFET or HEMT front-end amplifiers. detail behavior superconducting transition properties these sensors detector optimization in terms sensitivity a-thermal phonons. report preliminary results 200 g that was calibrated 71Ge activation by neutrons at LSM underground laboratory.

Superconducting Tes Bolometers above 1k
The discovery of High Tc superconductivity led to the exploration of current-biased superconducting bolometers cooled with liquid nitrogen and optimized to view 300K backgrounds at wavelengths beyond 10 μm. If such detectors reach the thermal fluctuation noise limit they would be a great improvement over room temperature pyroelectric detectors and thermopiles for many applications. The supercon...
متن کاملDesign and characterization of TES bolometers and SQUID readout electronics for a balloon-borne application
We present measurements of the electrical and thermal properties of new arrays of bolometeric detectors that were fabricated as part of a program to develop bolometers optimized for the low photon background of the EBEX balloon-borne experiment. An array consists of 140 spider-web transition edge sensor bolometers microfabricated on a 4” diameter silicon wafer. The designed average thermal cond...
متن کاملA Kilopixel Array of TES Bolometers for ACT: Development, Testing, and First Light
The Millimeter Bolometer Array Camera (MBAC) will be installed on the 6-meter Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) in late 2007. For the first season of observations, MBAC will comprise a 145 GHz diffraction-limited, 1024-pixel, focal plane array of Transition Edge Sensor (TES) Bolometers. This will be the largest array of pop-up-detector bolometers ever fielded as well as one of the largest array...
متن کاملIF impedance and mixer gain of NbN hot electron bolometers
The intermediate frequency IF characteristics, the frequency dependent IF impedance, and the mixer conversion gain of a small area hot electron bolometer HEB have been measured and modeled. The device used is a twin slot antenna coupled NbN HEB mixer with a bridge area of 1 0.15 m2, and a critical temperature of 8.3 K. In the experiment the local oscillator frequency was 1.300 THz, and the IF 0...
